Annmarie
Annmarie was born with cystic fibrosis and received her first double-lung transplant in 2018 at just 25 years old. Today, those lungs are in rejection, and she and her husband, James, are preparing to relocate from Charlotte to Durham as she faces her second double-lung transplant.
When I first FaceTimed with Annmarie and James, I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it would be. There were moments when I felt like I was talking to Ally.
Their stories are different, but their hearts are so similar—their love for life, their fight through unimaginable circumstances, their faith in God, and their desire to serve others even in the middle of their own suffering.
Annmarie, go fight. We’ve got you. ❤️🙏
